FAQs
Let us save you some time and answer the questions we get asked the most
Cost & Commitment
How much does a personal trainer cost in the City of London?
Between £80 and £120 per session, depending on the package. Ten sessions works out at £120 each; sixty brings it down to £80. Same coaching either way — the only thing that changes is how far ahead you commit. No membership fee on top, no joining fee, nothing hidden.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. You buy a block of sessions and use them. No monthly membership, no minimum term, and nothing that quietly renews itself.
Do I need to be a member of 24N Fitness?
You do not need to be a member of the gym in order to train with us. However, we always recommend joining so you can use the facilities around our sessions - whether it be to train, do some cardio or recover in the sauna.
What happens if I need to cancel a session?
We ask for 24 hours' notice. Diaries move and we completely understand that - but a session cancelled an hour before it's due to start is an hour we could have allocated to someone else.
Getting Started
What happens in my first session?
An assessment, before anything gets programmed. We measure your body composition, look at how you move, and go through your nutrition, sleep and schedule. Nothing gets written until we know what we're working with. That's the difference between a plan and a template.
Do I need to be fit already?
No. Most people come to us precisely because they aren't — or because they used to be, and then work happened. We start from where you actually are, not where you think you ought to be.
Am I too old to start?
No. Most of our clients are busy professionals in their thirties and forties, but we also see a number of clients in their fifties and beyond. Twenty years of coaching has taught us that age really does not matter anywhere near as much as you think - you are capable of making a change at any age.
How long until I start seeing results?
Most people see a noticeable difference within as little as four to six weeks and see what we would describe as real change by twelve. Long lasting change is always our goal. Anyone can change for six weeks. We're interested in whether it's still true in six years.
HOW THE COACHING WORKS
How often do I need to train?
Two to three sessions a week suits most people. Enough to change your body, few enough to survive a bad week at work. More isn't better if you can't recover from it or don't have the time. If you can't commit to that many sessions, we have our Hybrid Personal Training option.
Do you help with nutrition too?
Yes, and it's built into every plan rather than sold as an add-on. Food you'd actually choose to eat, in amounts that move the needle. Precision Nutrition certified, and nothing you'd have to hide from colleagues at lunch.
What if I travel a lot, or my diary is unpredictable?
All sessions are flexible and we are always happy to move a session to fit your schedule. But, this type of diary is exactly why we offer hybrid coaching. Two to four in-person sessions a month in Devonshire Square, plus a fully personalised plan and weekly check-ins for the weeks between. From £350 a month.
Who will I actually be training with?
Stephen or Reece. Twenty years of coaching experience, certifications from CHEK, Poliquin and Precision Nutrition, and coaching featured in Men's Health. You'll have the same coach throughout - no rotating through whoever's free. But no matter who you train with, you'll always have two sets of eyes on your programme, guaranteeing your progress.
